How a DNA test from a 2003 rape case led to a prime suspect currently in prison

FREMONT – Because of an initiative from Attorney General Mike DeWine’s office, a rape case unsolved since 2003 now has a prime suspect.
In February, Sandusky County Sheriff’s Detective Sergeant Ken Arp got a DNA hit in the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) from a rape kit that was retested in 2013 as part of a statewide initiative from DeWine’s office to test rape kits.
