Oahu lab hopeful DNA?can identify Civil War remains

HONOLULU (AP) – Scientists hope the 150th anniversary of the sinking of the ironclad USS Monitor during the Civil War will help identify two sets of remains at a Hawaii military lab.
The Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam has been working to identify the remains since they were recovered in 2002. The lab last year identified 69 service members missing from past wars.
