Trial Begins Monday In Decades-Old Homicide

COLUMBUS, Wis. — Trial begins Monday for a Randolph man accused of fatally beating and stabbing a young mother 30 years ago in Columbia County.

Curtis Forbes, 53, is accused of killing Marilyn McIntyre in 1980 in her home. Her husband found her body when he returned from working an overnight shift on March 11, 1980. The couple’s 3-month-old baby was in a crib at their Columbus apartment.

Crack cold-case unit earns Denver recognition, raves

Denver’s cold-case team has arrested 75 suspected rapists and killers since 2004, a number of cracked cases that rivals the totals achieved by some whole nations.

“It doesn’t get any better than Denver anywhere on the planet,” said Bob Green, former head of Great Britain’s national police and science unit within the Ministry of Interior. “They’ve been incredibly successful.”

London sex killer still on loose despite DNA, CCTV evidence

BRITISH detectives were intensifying their search for a serial rapist who killed a woman, after attacking all nine of his victims in the same square mile of London.

Police have clear CCTV footage of the man and DNA evidence linking him to the crimes in Walthamstow, east London, but he has so far evaded capture, The Waltham Forest Guardian reported.
